Journey to the Future

Since it was first attempted, the innovation called 3D printing has exploded and we are now creating houses in 20 hours. Does it mean that is the future? Probably. Are we sure? Not really!

Throughout time, architecture has persisted as one of the most profoundly important reflections of culture in society. Currently, building technology and sustainable designs are considered fundamental to the growing field of contemporary architecture. Architecture is a part of the culture- it has been called the mother of all arts! It is certainly part of how we see ourselves and part of how we see the world. What do we talk about when we return from Europe? Yes, after we are done talking about the cafés and cleanliness – the architecture!

Modern architecture is becoming more and more even. Modern architecture is defined by clean lines and minimalist interiors that allow the structure to speak for itself and take center-stage. Architects have a challenging responsibility to design buildings that are environmentally sustainable with the change in the global concern regarding the use of energy and resources, which should also be aesthetically appealing. Hence, a great deal of differentiating focus is being put on the exterior looks and facades of these structures. This new responsibility also prompts a sensible shift in trend from a just being eye-catching, institutionalized building forms to more organic, humble, yet energy-efficient vernacular forms.

Future architecture is widely accepted to enable flexibility in design, often resulting from structural sophistication, to load-bearing construction, portability of elements, compactness, standardization, prefabrication, and economy of structure. These features are commonly the result of technological developments. Modern practice increasingly uses smart design components that can be substituted, upgraded, replaced, maintained, or repaired.

In contemporary design practice, researchers increasingly emphasize “smart architecture”, that is, architecture with an organic presence that is capable of growing according to the changing needs of the users.

The time factor and the fact that life is enacted in dynamic processes needs incorporating into the architectural design. Good architecture is intentioned. It somehow touches the people who use it and live in it. It somehow touches the human soul.

Architecture is all of these things together. If a building is well-designed, it, of course, functions well! The materials used are appropriate, it works with nature in terms of energy, light and use of resources. It creates spaces that somehow go beyond just functioning well.

Modern Architectural solutions make a positive difference to society as well. We have included a few wonderful pieces of modern architecture that inspire us every single day.
